Create a Lasting Impact: Explore Ways to Give

Gift of Will or Trust

By including Grant Halliburton Foundation in your will or trust, you can leave a meaningful legacy that supports our mission for years to come. Whether you choose to designate a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate, your gift will benefit the Foundation after your lifetime without affecting your current finances. Additionally, you may receive a deduction on your estate taxes.

Suggested bequest language for your will or trust:

I hereby give, devise, and bequeath the sum of $___ (or ___% of my estate) to Grant Halliburton Foundation, a nonprofit organization in Dallas, Texas, Tax ID 20-5643050, or its successor organization, to be used for its general purposes without restriction* (*Or specify the designated purpose).

To help you get started on your plans, try FreeWill, an online tool that guides you through the process of creating your legally valid will or trust, at no cost. It’s easy to use, accessible online, and can be completed in 20 minutes. You can use this resource on its own or use it to document your wishes before finalizing your plans with an attorney.

Beneficiary Designations

Designate Grant Halliburton Foundation as the beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), or other qualified retirement plan. By doing so, you can avoid both income and estate taxes that would otherwise apply if left to other heirs, while still maintaining full access to the funds during your lifetime.

Similarly, naming the Foundation as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy offers flexibility during your lifetime and can reduce estate taxes upon your passing. This allows you to make a significant impact while preserving your assets.

Real Estate/Personal Property

You can donate real estate or other property to Grant Halliburton Foundation, retaining ownership and use of the property during your lifetime. In return, you’ll receive an income tax charitable deduction in the year the gift is made. This allows you to make a lasting impact while still enjoying the benefits of the property during your lifetime.

Other Giving

Additional giving options include charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, and charitable gift annuities. These vehicles can offer both tax benefits and the opportunity to support Grant Halliburton Foundation in a meaningful way. For more details on how these options might fit into your financial plans, we recommend consulting with your financial or tax advisor.
